Southwind III

Tropical sunset

I’m right now in Sydney. It’s been almost four months since I sold Southwind. I don’t have any updates of her destiny except that she survived the flooding in Brisbane just fine (after all, she’s a boat).
So sitting her in Sydney and looking back of the pictures makes one a little bit sad. Especially now when the autumn is advancing and the temperatures is dropping. I just had to get a quilt for my bed because the night’s here starts to get cold. For almost 9 months we only needed a sheets and sometimes a blanket…
I spoke to Per-Ivar Yesterday and he told me about some Swedish guys sailing up in the Northern Sea from Island to John Mayen to do some skiing on the worlds northernmost active volcano. Compared to arctic storms, the nights here in Sydney does not seems to cold, although when I look at the Port Villa Sunset, I can’t stop myself from a shiver. A couple of night after this photo was taken, we sailed away from the tropics, away from the dream and into the real world of hard work and cold nights…

All good things come to an end, but now it’s off to the next adventure! I’ll look forward to reading all about it.
